SNOW!

Hannah's first time in snow:
She was so excited, she could hardly talk (there were more flurries than what the video shows)!

Guess what, we had some snow today! We had some flurries a few weeks ago but today was better. It rained all day and as the temperature steadily dropped, snow started falling around 2.

I thought I had everything for winter but realized that I only had regular cotton gloves and mittens, none that were waterproof. Baggies over their hands helped them stay dry, gotta do what you gotta do!

Dane literally stayed outside from the time he got home from school until after dark (it starts getting around 4:30). He had a blast! We had a few snowball fights, tried to slide down our sloping backyard with a makeshift sled and started making a miniature snowman.

It's supposed to get into the mid-twenties tonight. I was dreading the cold but wearing a couple of coats, boots and gloves, it's not too bad (yes, I know this is nothing for you Chicago people). I've discovered fleece lined leggings from Target, they're the most comfy thing to wear now, maybe even better than yoga pants!

Fall, Fall Fall, More Fall

Forgive me for being late, this thing takes time!

We drove down to good ole' Louisiana a few weeks ago. We were able to visit with a few friends and a little family. We enjoyed the patch at FBC (you all did a great job and from what I've seen on Facebook, the community thought so too). I only ended up with a short video but my mom took pictures.
They enjoyed Conductor Laughlin's train ride and even made a trip to Rocket!

At the end of October, the kids and I went to Xcite Night at church. There were fun jumps, candy, a cartoon artist, a magician guy, candy, popcorn, games, more candy…. My crew had a blast!

I'm aware of the lack of pictures of Gracie and Dane, they're old enough to roam around and sometimes feel they're too old for pictures. I did sneak some!

Earlier that day, we went to the RV gym and watched George Washington and Betsy Ross in their parade.

Hannah thought Dane was the Quaker man!

Sadly, the beautiful fall colors are falling and fading away. We're excited about SNOW, coming soon!

Update: I'll post a few more pictures from the month.
